Carmen Taylor

With great love and deep sadness, we share that Carmen Taylor peacefully passed away on June 30, 2025, surrounded by her children and sister, wrapped in the warmth of their love.

Carmen was known for her radiant smile and quiet strength. Born on February 8, 1945, she lived a life full of grace, laughter, and purpose. She was a remarkably strong woman, facing life’s challenges with grace, resilience, and an inner strength that inspired those around her. Her love was steady, her support unconditional, and her presence a constant source of comfort for her family. Carmen was never afraid of hard work and always worked hard to improve her and her children’s lives.

She proudly worked for many years at the Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital Starbucks, where she became affectionately known as “the smiling coffee lady.” Her warm presence brought joy to countless Marines, families, and coworkers, many of whom still remember her kindness and smile.

Carmen had a deep love for gardening, and always found peace and beauty in tending to her garden. She enjoyed relaxing with classic TV shows and movies, and had a special gift for turning ordinary days into gentle, memorable moments.

She is survived by her loving children: Sid Colmenero, Cindy Colmenero, and Crystal Taylor, and her cherished granddaughter, Presley Rose. She is also survived by her siblings: Manual Mancha, Freddy Mancha, Teresa Martinez, Sally Betancourt, and Esther Mancha, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. Carmen’s legacy lives on in the love she poured into her family and in the many hearts she touched with her warmth, laughter, and grace.

She was our light, our home, and our heart. We will miss her endlessly.
