Calvin Nelms

Calvin Nelms passed away in the early morning of November 3, 2025 at home at the age of 65 years old. 

Calvin was born to James Franklin Nelms and Fannie Christine Doyle on February 8,1960 in Bolivar,Tennessee. He was the youngest of 6 children. He resided in Hardman County until 1989 when he relocated to Texas with his wife and four daughters. He was a CDL driver before owning his own company remodeling homes and businesses for almost 30 years before becoming disabled. 

He was a papa to 10 grandchildren. He was welcomed to heaven by his mother, father, 5 siblings, granddaughter Kennedy Gayle Cates, and wife of 29 years Katherine Ann Burns. 

He is survived by his daughter Linda Garner, son in law Tyler Garner and five grandchildren, J T, Russell, Angel, Dean, and Logan, his daughter Angela Cates, son in law Eric Cates and grandsons Cooper and Austin, daughter by love Christie Allison, daughter by love Carly Herrera, son in law John Herrera and grandsons Alex and Eli.
