Caitlin Jensen

Caitlin Sierra Jensen, affectionately known to her friends and family as “Cakes,” passed away suddenly on July 22, 2025, in her hometown of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Born on October 3, 1995, Caitlin’s vibrant spirit and loving nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she encountered throughout her brief yet impactful 29 years of life.

The beloved daughter of Linda Hatcher Jensen and Ronald Harvey Jensen, Caitlin’s family was the cornerstone of her life. She was a loving mother to Lilliana Taylor Clifton, Gabriella Lucia White, Logan Fisher Jensen, and Lindsey Ray White, Jr., all of whom she adored with every fiber of her being. Her unwavering love extended to her companion, Lindsey Ray White, Sr. Caitlin will be profoundly missed by her grandmother, Margret M. Hatcher, her sisters, Jennifer Leigh White (Derek Meads), Holly Elizabeth Rogerson (Jerel Seymore), and Kimber Lee Jensen (Christopher Carpenter), and her brother, Will Whidbee, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She now joins her beloved brother, Lucas Caine Jensen, her grandfather, William C. Hatcher, and her grandparents, Lou and Cora Jensen, in eternal rest.

Caitlin’s Christian faith was the foundation upon which she built her life. Her relationship with Jesus was a source of strength and comfort, guiding her through every challenge and joy. She lived her faith through her actions, often putting others before herself, and her kindness rippled through her community.

Her interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. Caitlin had an affinity for the outdoors, where she could often be found fishing, a pastime that brought her peace and joy. Her love for sketching allowed her to capture the beauty of the world around her, especially her beloved nature and animals.

To say Caitlin was loving and selfless would be an understatement. Her spirit was a vibrant flame that warmed those around her, and her legacy is one of compassion and generosity. Her life was a testament to the power of putting love into action, and her impact will continue to be felt by those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her grace.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Elizabeth City Baptist Church. Friends and loved ones are invited to join the family for a luncheon immediately following the service.
