Brush fire knocked down in Jacks Valley area

UPDATE: East Fork Fire and Carson City Fire Department were called late Saturday afternoon to a brush fire in Jacks Valley.

The fire, now reportedly knocked down, was in the Vista Grande area of Douglas County south of Carson City. It was reported to East Fork Fire at around 4:15 p.m.

According to scanner traffic and Eastern Sierra Fire and Ice, the fire was near the Target store and was around 10 foot by 10 foot with slow rate of spread in moderate brush.

Carson City had sent a brush rig, which was canceled. Fire mop up was finished at around 4:55 p.m. No word yet on how the fire started.
