Bruce Aluisio

We are deeply saddened to share the sudden passing of Bruce Aluisio, who left us at the age of 84 in Bradenton, Florida, on August 10, 2025. Bruce’s life was a testament to his devotion to his family and friends, and a spirit of service that touched everyone who knew him.

Born Aresta Bruce Aluisio on January 25, 1941, in Dobbs Ferry, NY, Bruce was the eldest child of Aresta and Edna Cook Aluisio and brother to Janet Aluisio D’Alio, Kenneth Aluisio, Gail Aluisio and Gerald Aluisio (deceased). He was raised in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, and graduated from Hastings High School in 1959. A lifelong resident of Hastings, Bruce co-owned Hastings Electric and Hardware Company, Inc. with his father and brother until his retirement in 2006. He was the person you called when you needed help – always ready to lend a hand, no matter the hour or circumstance, going far beyond the call of duty.

Bruce was the loving husband of Rose Cerveny Aluisio, with whom he shared 53 beautiful years of marriage. They wed on January 19, 1964, and built a home next to his father’s in Hastings-on-Hudson, where they raised their three daughters surrounded by family and lifelong friends.

A devoted father and grandfather, Bruce’s gentle nature made him a soft touch—especially with his grandchildren. He never missed a birthday, a graduation, or a moment to show his love and pride.

Bruce served his community with distinction as a dedicated member of Uniontown Hose Company No. 2, including time as Chief of the Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department. His commitment to service extended over 60 years.

An avid boater, Bruce found joy cruising with Rose aboard their beloved motorboat, Sea Rose Again. He was a proud member of several yacht clubs over the years, including Tarrytown Marina, Fort Comfort Yacht Club in NY, and Platinum Point Yacht Club in Punta Gorda, FL. and could always be found on the dock assisting fellow boaters.

Bruce is predeceased by his beloved wife, Rose, and will be deeply missed by his daughters Robin LoGiudice (Albert), Lisa Sanfilippo (Robert), and Debbie Kourakos; and his cherished grandchildren Lauren, Josh, Noelle, Robert, Jillian, Christopher, Nicole, and Michael.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruce’s memory can be made to Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department at Donate.
