Obituary – Brigitte F. (Morland) Eaton

Brigitte Fiona (Morland) Eaton, 54, passed away unexpectedly on November 15th in Brownsville CA. She was born in Attleborough, England and moved with her family to Massachusetts in late 1977. A graduate of Westborough High School, she also attended college at UMASS, Amherst. She moved to California in 1989, working in Silicon Valley as a color printing guru and a website designer, before moving to Northern California in 2008 to further pursue her true passion of livestock farming and horticulture. Her environmental sensitivity was such that she became an expert in applied permaculture farming. Her passion took her to Oregon for a few years before returning to Northern CA to live in the Sierra foothills. She made close friends with locals at the Farmers Markets, while proudly selling her sought after fruits, vegetables, flowers and eggs.

Brigitte is predeceased by her mother, Julia (Smith) Morland. She is survived by her two children, Ronan and Phaedra Eaton living with their father Jason in TN, her father Graham and wife Jean in CT, her brother Nicholas and sons Shane and Devon in CA, her sister Kirsty and partner Gerard in NY, and Jean’s son and daughter Jason and Michelle in MA. There are many relatives still in the UK, too many to list, and we know your thoughts and prayers are with us at this time.

The family will gather privately in the springtime to celebrate Brigitte’s life. For those who also wish to honor and remember Brigitte, her favorite flowers were Dahlias and Sunflowers.
