Brian Johnston Partridge, was born November 18, 1942, and was raised by Gladys Murrelle and Kenneth B. Partridge; he passed away peacefully in his home October 3, 2025.
Brian, the consummate adventurer, followed his brother into the Army where he served from April, 1961 until he was Honorably discharged in May of 1965.
Soon after, he earned his GED and began the arduous journey involving strenuous work as a scrappy meter reader, landlord, satellite dish installer, and self-taught expert of all ways to make a living. His insatiable drive would eventually lead to his final and extraordinary career as a notorious dealer of roofing merchandise; AKA a salesman. Brian was revered in his industry and found tremendous satisfaction throughout his career.
The sixth of eight children, he learned at a young age how to be assertive with, but also devoted to his brothers and sisters. Brian found deep satisfaction in spending time with his siblings often through raucous holiday gatherings, barbecues and birthdays. It was during these times that he would let loose with his many nieces and nephews (we think 24), frequently reverting back to his younger years of mischievous playfulness.
At home, Brian was the iron fist. Often waking early in the morning to begin the household chores and “volun-telling” his children to join him or face an ice cold bucket of water. Yet, devotion was not just reserved for his siblings; he was steadfast in his support of his wife and kids. Always up for an adventure, memories were made going on road trips, camping, riding motor bikes and horses, and hanging with family friends. Additionally, he spent hours on the sideline cheering at games and performances (even synchronized swimming), sometimes hopping a plane from a work obligation to arrive in time for kickoff.
Brian enjoyed collectables, including trains (more for the kids) and cars (more for himself). He also loved being active; and spent time swinging a golf club, running in 5K’s with his daughter, traveling the world, SCUBA Diving, and later in life going on many walks with friends and family. Work sent him to Costa Rica and Korea; his wife sent him on Alaskan cruises and European adventures. While trains, cars, and travel filled much of his time, he was always looking for ways to be generous to others, which filled his heart. Brian was a devoted Husband, Father, Papa, and Friend who will be greatly missed.
Brian is preceded in death by his wife, Mary, brothers Bill and Kerrie, and sisters Diane, Sharron, Lorraine, and Billye.
Brian is survived by his children, Chris and Katrina, his son-in-law Ben, and his three amazing grandchildren Evan, Kate, and Kendal.
