Brian Scott Gratton
April 1, 1957 – July 21, 2025
Eastford – Brian Gratton, 68, of Eastford, died July 21, 2025, in the comfort of his home. Born in Putnam, Connecticut. He is survived by his mother, Mary (Wetherell) Gratton of Pomfret and her partner Dana Basto of Davis Place. Brian is survived by his son, Jason Hryzan (Jenelle Clearwater) of Wilkes-Barre, PA. He is also survived by his siblings, Debra Reynolds (Russ) of Eastford, CT; Arlene Goodwin (Bruce) of Ashford, CT; Martin Gratton (Cindy) of Bradenton, FL; Mistie Hagenhoff of Collinsville, OK; two granddaughters, Brooklyn Hryzan and Crystal Clearwater; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He is predeceased by his father, M. Philip Gratton and his sister, Audrey Giorgi. He will be missed by his entire extended family and friends.
Throughout the years, Brian worked for Nedzweckas Contractors, Gratton Foundations, and Lindon Tree Service.
When Brian was not working, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, 4Wheel’n, and traveling to the family cabin in Maine. Brian was a lover of all animals and could always be seen with his cats and dogs over the years. He leaves behind his cat companion, Kitty.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Brian on Friday, August 8th, 2025, 11:00am at St. Philip Cemetery, 91 Pompey Hollow Rd (Rte 44), Ashford, CT.
