Bobby Blue, Jr.

Bobby Blue, Jr., was born to the late Bobby Blue, Sr., and Erma D. Farley. Bobby attended Melrose High School, where he graduated in 1964. After graduating, Bobby attended the Job Corp. Bobby later came out and got a job at the Memphis Country Club as a Bartender. Then, he went on to work for United Liquor Corp., where he worked for 31 years until he retired. Bobby was a member of Koinonia Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Men’s Ministry.

Bobby leaves to mourn his passing a wife, Mona F. Blue, of 59 years; two daughters, Yumekia Y. Polk and Tonjlia T. Dortch, and a devoted daughter, Myra Collins Ball; one son, Eric Murdock; six grandchildren, Ashley Stewart, Amber Polk, Cleophus Dortch, Jr., and Taylor Dortch; five great-grandchildren, Zoey, Khloe, Andra, Shelby, and Asem; a dear friend, Arthur L. Simmons, and a host of relatives and friends.
