In Loving Memory of Blanche “Dolly” Murphy 1931 – 2025

Blanche “Dolly” Murphy, age 94, passed away peacefully at Rideaucrest Home in Kingston, Ontario on October 16th, 2025. Born in 1931 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Dolly lived a life defined by resilience, love, and unwavering strength.

To say that Dolly was a formidable woman is beyond understatement. She faced challenges and hardships both difficult and frequent, yet through love, work ethic, and sheer determination, she persevered to raise a family she could be proud of. Her legacy is one of grit, grace, and fierce devotion punctuated often with her legendary wit and sense of humour.

Dolly is survived by her son Robert (Bob) Boutilier (Candy Boutilier, nee Cox), her daughter Cynthia (Cindy) Fernandez, nee Boutilier (Chris Fernandez), and her son Gerald (Jerry) Boutilier (Patti Boutilier, nee Haunts). She will be deeply missed by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever remember her warm smile, tight hugs, and her somewhat firm brand of love.

A private service among family will be held in the coming days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, in honor of Dolly’s compassionate spirit.

Our family would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Rideaucrest Home for their care and commitment in lovingly helping Dolly through her end-of-life journey.

Her strength lives on in those she loved. Her memory will forever be a blessing.
