Beverly Ann Schmaltz, 87, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, of Granbury, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in Granbury.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Martin’s Funeral Home, 100 S. Morgan Street in Granbury.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Faith will take place on Tuesday, November 11th, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 2301 Acton Highway in Granbury.  Burial will follow on Wednesday, November 12th, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, 615 15th Street in Perry, Oklahoma.

Beverly was born on Christmas Day, 1937, in New Brunswick, New Jersey — the only child of the late Zolton and Ethel Kish. On May 18, 1968, she married Kendall Schmaltz, and together they have 4 children: Nanette, Jeff, Kristen, and Lance.

Beverly worked for several years at the Edna Gladney Home for adoption and found great purpose in helping others. She loved to travel, especially to New Orleans, and had a deep affection for animals, particularly dogs. Above all, Beverly will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the unwavering love she had for her family.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kendall; her children, Nanette Butler, Jeff Otterstrom, Kristen and husband Paul Ketchen, and Lance Schmaltz; her grandchildren, Matt and wife Keri Butler, Brittany and husband Jake Story, John Michael Otterstrom, Elizabeth Otterstrom, Elysha Otterstrom, Laird Schmaltz, and Kyndal Schmaltz; her great-grandchildren, Clayton Butler, Madison Butler, Shelby Story, Jacob Churby, Emily Churby, Erayah Otterstrom, and Elivia Ostello; and her great-great-grandchild, Carson Butler.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Tommy Skelton.
