Betty Ristau

Betty Ristau, 91, of Peru, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at Allure of Peru.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Peru with Pastor Tom Ridig officiating. Burial will follow in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru.

Mrs. Ristau was born May 2, 1934 in Peru to John and Evelyn (Stauch) Trillet. She married Earl Ristau on October 23, 1955 in St. Johns Lutheran Church in Peru. They were married for 56 years. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2011.

Betty worked for Westclox for 24 years and later for Pierson’s Bakery and Roosevelt School in Peru where she worked in the lunchroom serving students lunch. Betty was a chairman at Operation Thirst in Oshkosh, WI for 3 years where she served meals to all the volunteers at the air show. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Peru.

She is survived by her son, Bruce Ristau of Peru; her daughter, Jill Ristau of Peru and five grandchildren: Brian Ristau, Melissa Granger, Luke Kaszynski, Brittany Ristau, and Jenna Hrovat and four great-grandchildren: Bradye Ristau, Ryland Ristau, Victoria Granger and Kennedy Granger,

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Earl.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family.
