Betty Harvey

Betty Beard Harvey, 93 of Grady passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Dalton’s Place in Star City. She was born November 29, 1931 in Glendale, Arkansas to the late Clarence and Mattie Chambers Beard.

Betty started a private kindergarten at her home in 1966 eventually working it into the Grady School District and then the Star City School District later. She was a member of the Grady Methodist Church where she was a member of the Betty Riggins Circle and was also a member of the home demonstration club. She loved to knit, and enjoyed cooking and flower gardening.

Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Bo Harvey and a son, Bruce Allen Harvey.

Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Harvey (Clara Grace) of Star City, Billy Harvey (Dianne) of Grady, Benny Harvey (Wanda) of Springdale. Also surviving are a brother, Bobby Beard (Roma Lou) of Star City, a sister, Barbara Burnett (Ronnie) of Lebanon, Mo. eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 28, 2025 at the Grady Cemetery with Bro. Roger Milligan officiating. Memorials may be made to the Grady Methodist Church, C/O Peggy Dreher 193 Diamond Drive, Grady Ar. 71644. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
