Barbara Hancock

Barbara Ida Hancock Cunha “Nanny”, 81, beloved mother and grandmother, of Burleson, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, November 3, 2025, in Burleson.

A graveside committal service will be held at 2 P.M., on Monday, November 10, at Holly Hills Cemetery in Granbury.

Barbara was born on February 4, 1944 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, to George and Anna Ruth Donnell (Granny). She worked for over 40 years at TCU as a Housekeeping Supervisor. Barbara enjoyed traveling. She especially loved her cat, Fran. Most of all, Barbara cherished spending time with her family to whom she was affectionately known as “Nanny.”

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Cheryl and husband Jim Baker and Cindy Johnson; and by her grandchildren, Jamie Horton, Shawn and wife Vervain Johnson and Dylan Johnson; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Rosemary; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cunha; her siblings, Becky Gilbert and Tim Donnell; and by her son-in-law, Scott Johnson.
