Barbara Glass
Barbara K. Glass, age 82 passed away peacefully on Thursday September 11th 2025 with her family by her side, while in Hospice care at Orchard Grove legacy memory Care in Bruce Township. She was born July 26 1943 the daughter of Ivan & Dorothy (Travis) Luddington in Detroit. Barbara married the love of her life, Chester E. Glass in 1965 and together bought their first home in Roseville. A short time later they had two children and in 1976 she and her family moved to Almont.
Her favorite pastimes and hobbies throughout her life were volunteering at her children’s elementary schools, Tole-Painting classes, ceramics classes, bingo with friends, casino trips with her husband or her sister Betty. Barbara especially enjoyed sipping her coffee in the early morning on her patio watching the wildlife in her beautiful backyard. The birds and families of deer were her favorite backyard visitors.
Barbara is survived by her two children, Colleen (Todd) Smith of Almont and Brian (Natalie) Glass of Chesterfield Township, her grandchildren: Becca (Nick) Frye, Kelsey, Derek, Tyler, Jared and great-grandchildren: Noah and Lucas and her sister Dorothy Beauchene and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Chester Glass, her siblings: Jim Luddington, Carol Miller, Nancy Sassin, Bill Luddington, Betty Agosta and Richard Luddington and by her parents, Ivan & Dorothy Luddington.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. The funeral Service will be held, Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 11:00am with Viewing from 10:00-11:00am all at Muir Funeral Home & Celebration of Life Center, 296 S. Main St.-Romeo, MI 48065. Burial will follow at Hough Cemetery, 7223 Hough Rd.-Almont, MI 48003. In lieu of flowers,
