Baker Jenkins

Baker Rae Jenkins was born still due to complications from her Trisomy 18 diagnosis at 12:20 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas and weighed about 8 oz. Though her time with us was brief, Baker left an indelible mark on our hearts. Her arrival was bittersweet as she was born alongside her twin sister, Ivy. They were both covered in many prayers and will always be immensely loved by their family. Baker’s life, though brief, echoes the words of Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart.” Baker was indeed set apart, a unique soul who touched our lives in an unimaginable way. She was like a little butterfly, sent to remind us of the fragility of life and the enduring strength of love.

Baker will always be remembered by her loving parents, Kaylee and Ryan Jenkins, who held her in their hearts before they could hold her in their arms, in addition to her sister, Addison; brothers, Wrigley and Maddux; her twin sister, Ivy; grandparents, Aaron and Jennifer Hines; grandmother, Amy Jenkins; great-grandmothers, Martha Howell and Karen Dieker; great-grandpa, John Jenkins, along with several aunts, uncles, and their families. She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Clyde Jenkins and several great-grandparents, Gerald Howell, Randy Dieker, Judy Fields, and Dale and Janice Hines.

We believe that she is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father, cradled in His eternal love.

Private services have been held for Baker. She was laid to rest near her grandpa Clyde at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington, Kansas.
