Arlene Colwell

Arlene Emily Colwell, nee Schmeisser, was born on December 30, 1933 and passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025. Survived by her children: Karen (Eric) Arneson, David, and Daniel (Barbara); 6 grandchildren: Erica Egan, Ian (Lindsay) Arneson, Sarah (Zack) Siwinski, Michael, Mitchell, Matthew; and four great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Arlene was a lifelong resident of Joliet, IL. She graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1952. She was a long-time member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Orlo “Dutch” (2012); parents, Walter and Emma Schmeisser; brother David Schmeisser; and infant grandson Brent Arneson. Services for Arlene will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Joliet on September 15, 2025 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1910 Black Road, Joliet, IL 60435.
