Aphrodite Logothetis
- June 2, 2025

On May 31, 2025, Aphrodite Logothetis fell peacefully asleep surrounded by the unbounded love and gratitude of the family she created.
To everyone who knew her, Aphrodite was an exceptionally unique soul, a rare combination of intelligence, warmth, wit, and joy. She was stunningly beautiful inside and out, with a smile and a sparkle in her eye that radiated love and brought comfort to all who met her. She lived her life for others, never hesitating to share her deep wisdom to help guide her family and friends, always humble, honest, and self-sacrificing. She was just as known for her character as she was for her delicious bread and cookies, the centerpiece of any gathering and the secret ingredient to which she always said was “love.”
She was born in Karpathos, Greece in 1952, traveled through Ellis Island when she was nine, and met her soulmate, Nikolaos Logothetis, the summer of 1974. For over fifty years, they built a life grounded by their profound and endless love for each other. She was the type of mother everyone wishes for, filled with unconditional love, cheerful encouragement, and deep friendship for her daughters.
She leaves behind the love of her life, Niko, her daughter Francesca and son-in-law Chris Cambouris, her daughter Sophia, her daughter Georgia and her son-in-law Thomas Speer, and her five grandchildren – her “blessings” as she called them – Aphrodite, Eliana, Aphrodite, Niko, and Anastasia, as well as countless family and friends who will forever cherish and remember the love, light, and joy she brought into their lives.
