Anthony “Tony” Dwayne Reynolds
January 16, 1968 – November 24, 2025
Anthony Dwayne Reynolds entered this world on January 16, 1968, in Cleburne, Texas, to Billy Dean Reynolds and Annie Laurie Sexton Reynolds, making his sister, Angie, the proudest big sister. On November 24, 2025, at the age of 57, Tony peacefully went home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ.
When Tony was five, the family relocated to Granbury, Texas, where he spent the rest of his childhood and teenage years. He proudly played kicker for the Granbury Pirates throughout high school and participated in the “Punt, Pass, and Kick” program, earning numerous trophies and awards that reflected both his talent and dedication.
At 23, Tony married Sher’a Cooley, and together they welcomed two beloved sons: Ethan Wayne Reynolds (1991) and Cody Lane Reynolds (1995). The family later settled in the San Antonio area, where Tony worked as a truck driver for Ben E. Keith, Sysco, and eventually H-E-B. Life was full and busy – balancing work and cheering on the boys through years of sports and activities.
After several years, the marriage came to an end. Tony continued working with Thermo King and later accepted a transfer to Austin, where he served as Operations Manager. Despite the changes life brought, his love for his sons remained steady at the center of his world.
Tony was a simple, humble, and deeply family-minded man. Gifted with his hands, he enjoyed woodworking, drawing, and at one time operated his own landscaping business. He loved fishing, duck hunting with his boys, NASCAR, old trucks, and country music – but nothing brought him more joy than time spent with Ethan and Cody.
Tony lived in Austin until his health declined, eventually returning to Granbury to be near family. He bravely battled complications from diabetes and stage-five kidney failure, spending more than six years on dialysis. On November 24, 2025, Tony entered into eternal rest at Granbury Villa Nursing Home and Rehab Center.
Tony’s life was marked by quiet strength, devotion to family, and a steadfast heart. His memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
Tony is survived by his sons and their families, Ethan Wayne Reynolds, and wife Sarah, Cody Lane Reynolds and wife Hannah, and his grandchildren, Whitley Ray Reynolds (5), and twins-Wrenley Rein Reynolds (3) and Sage Ryder Reynolds (3). He is also survived by his sister, Angie Hutyra and husband Roy; his mother, Ann Reynolds. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces and great nephew and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Dean Reynolds.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 1, 2025 at Martin’s Funeral Home, 100 S. Morgan St., Granbury, Texas 76048 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Rose Hill Cemetery, 1105 Island Grove Rd., Cleburne, Texas 76031 beginning at 10:00 AM.
