Anthony Biondi

Anthony Armand Biondi, affectionately known as “Big Ant,” passed away on October 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, loyalty, and unforgettable presence. He was a man who could literally rip a telephone book in half—and figuratively hold a family together with the same force of heart.

Anthony is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Fran, whose love and partnership were the foundation of his life. He also leaves behind his beloved sister Bernadette (Scott), and his cherished niece Alexis, who knew him simply and lovingly as “Unkie.”

Born to Sylvia and Robert Biondi, who preceded him in death, Anthony carried their values forward with pride. He was a man of grit and humor, known for his larger-than-life personality and the kind of strength that inspired awe—both physical and emotional.

A proud Villanova University graduate and alumnus, Anthony dedicated over 20 years of service to the Borough of Norristown as a respected political figure, tax collector, administrator, and Borough Manager. As the founder of Biondi Hauling and Cooke Enterprises Inc., Anthony found great joy in the trucking and construction industries. He took immense pride in every project he touched, embodying the strong work ethic instilled in him by his father, Bob “Ham” Biondi, who taught him from a young age that “there is no shame in work—only shame in not working.”

Whether he was sharing stories, offering a helping hand, or making people laugh with his signature wit, Anthony made an impression that won’t fade. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, loved him, and were lucky enough to call him family.

Relatives and friends are invited to Anthony’s Life Celebration on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 8:15 AM to 10:15 AM at Boyd Horrox Givnish Funeral Home, 200 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA 19401. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at Holy Saviour Church. Anthony will be laid to rest at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
