Annie Vallejo

Annie Vallejo, 84, born March 17th, 1941, in Prescott, Arizona to Antonio Lopez and Maria Lopez (Ramirez). Annie graduated from Kinsburg High Schoo in Kingsburg Ca in 1959 and cosmetology school in 1960 where she worked as a cosmetologist from 1961-1979. In 1979 she moved her family to Prescott from Glendale, CA. After arriving in Prescott,she worked occasionally at Hair Conspiracy. Annie worked at HeadStart in Prescott as a cook, teacher, and social worker. While moving through these roles, Annie worked diligently to earn her AA in early childhooddevelopment, and she worked her way up to become the Director of HeadStart, Prescott Valley. She dedicated 28 years of her life to HeadStart.During summers off from HeadStart, she worked as a cook for Friendly Pines Camp and Camp Pearlstein.Annies work ethic was admirable, and she bore this quality into every other venture she participated in. She was a shining example of hard work and dedication, and she passed that same drive on to her children. Through her actions, not just words, she taught them the value of showing up, giving their best and pushing through challenges.

She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart, and she was very devoted to her church community, never missing her commitments. Her level of involvement couldbe best described as boundless, pouring herself into everything she participated in with limitless dedication. She was a member ofThe Legion of Mary, Divine Mercy Prayer Group, Senior Ministry, Soul Sisters, and The Fun Bunch.She and her husband also volunteered with BE Youth Retreats. After Deacon Mike passed away, Anniestepped up into the roleas acommittedEucharisticMinister, taking communion to the Yavapai Medical Center, the Margaret T Morris Center, and to her community and neighbors. She was also a member of League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), and she heavily volunteered at The American Legion, Post 6, Prescott.

Annie is preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and daughter, Sabrina Misterka, she is survived by her children, Rene Vallejo (former spouse Dawn Thomas) of Prescott, Monica Wilson (Michael) of Rineyville, Ky.; and Tim Vallejo (Anisa)of Woodland, Ca.

She was grandmother to seven grandchildren – Clay and (Shantel) (Ft. Gordon, GA), Cole and (Margeaux) (Long Beach, Ca.), and Cady BethWilson (Elizabethtown, Ky.); Madison (San Tan Valley), and Chloe Vallejo (Prescott);Anjuna and Saeed Vallejo (Woodland, Ca.). and four great-grandchildren– GerardVallejo and Posie Vallejo-Nelson (Prescott) and Dean Michael Wilson (Tampa, FL), Niyla Wilson (Elizabethtown, KY)Annie was also survived her sister Carmen Guzman (Glendale, CA) Annie’s services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 10th2025. Rosary to begin at 11:00 am at mass at 11:30 am. Sacred Heart Catholic Church 150 Fleury St., Prescott, AZ 86301.Following her services, a reception/ luncheon will be held at the Forum, Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St Vincent De Paul, 935 Fair StPrescott, AZ.
