Anna Sgarlata

Anna (Ann) was born in the Belmont Section of the Bronx in 1928 to her Italian immigrant parents Nicola & Incornata, married in 1951 to her beloved Sal (who she met on a blind date) and remained happily married for 67 years. She lived her whole life in The Bronx and raised her daughter Mariana to also be a lifelong Yankees fan.

She is survived by her daughter Mariana Provino; her grandchildren Nicole Provino, Danielle Provino, Dominick Provino & his wife Kristina;

her great grandchildren Alexis Rose, Dominick Arthur and Nicholas James Provino.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Salvatore, her beloved siblings Michael and Rose, and her much loved son-in-law Dom.

All who loved her will remember her for her devotion to her family and extended family and her Eggplant Parmigiana.

In lieu of flowers or plants, please honor her avid love of animals by making a donation in her memory to any animal rescue of your choice.

Viewing will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025 from  2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00  P.M. at Farenga Bros Funeral Home, 920 Allerton Avenue, Bronx, NY 10469.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church, Bronx, NY

Interment to follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY
