Angie Kruse
Angie M. Kruse, 65, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at Gothenburg Health.
Angie was born on June 15, 1960, to William and Evelyn (Johnston) Dishman. She attended Gothenburg Public Schools and made Gothenburg her lifelong home.
On July 13, 1979, Angie married Gary Kruse in Gothenburg, NE, and to their union they were blessed with four children: Shane, Brittany, Triston, and Kendall.
Angie dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She worked in housekeeping and as a personal caretaker for the elderly—a role she fulfilled with great compassion and patience. Her kindness and gentle nature touched the lives of many.
A true free spirit, Angie found joy in the simple things. She loved spending time outdoors, whether around a campfire, at the lake, or just soaking in nature’s beauty. She had a deep love for animals and music, and above all, she cherished time with her family. Her warm heart and lively spirit created countless memories that her loved ones will carry forever.
Angie will be remembered for her big heart, her adventurous soul, and the deep love she gave to those around her.
Angie is survived by her children, Shane (Tasha) Kruse of O’Neill, NE; Brittany Kruse of Gothenburg, NE; Triston (Kayley Rose Sweet) Kruse of North Platte, NE; Kendall Kruse of Gothenburg, NE; ten grandchildren, Leviathan Kruse, Gavin Kruse, Drayden Kruse, KayLeeAnn Kruse, Jack Carlson-Kruse, Jace Carlson-Kruse, Marleigh Carlson-Kruse, Lincoln James English, Sarinah Reigh Schutz and Aleaha Kruse, mother Evelyn Dishman of Gothenburg, .two brothers, Dana (Rebecca) Dishman of North Platte, NE; Andy Dishman of Gothenburg, NE; sister Kayleen (Tony) Canas of Cozad, step-brothers Kevin and Paul Goings, step-sisters, Julie and Karen Goings. Many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gary, father, William, step-father, Bob Goings, brother Mikey Dishman.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, 4:00-7:00 PM at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, 620 10th St, Gothenburg, NE with the family present from 4:00-6:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held, 11:00 AM, Monday, August 11, 2025, Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, NE, with Pastor Janice Viter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to help with the services.
