Andre Stokes
- May 28, 2025

Andre P. Stokes, 64, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, in New Rochelle, New York.
Born on April 11, 1961, in Yonkers, NY, Andre was the beloved son of Richard and Marian Stokes (Jones). He grew up in Yonkers, surrounded by family and lifelong friends, before settling in New Rochelle to be close to the water he loved so dearly.
A self-employed contractor by trade, Andre took great pride in his work and relationships with his clients, many of whom became his friends.
Andre was married to the love of his life, Lisa (Loghry), for 25 years. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and so many memories. Andre was happiest and most relaxed while boating, fishing and just being by the water. His larger than life presence, easy smile, and good natured humor brought joy (most of the time) to his family and friends. If you were Andre’s friend you never had question it.
Andre was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Marian, and his sister Camille. He is survived by his devoted wife Lisa, his children Andre Jr., Jessie (Stephanie), Ryan (Gracie), and Connor. He also leaves behind his brothers Richard Jr. and John (Geri), his sister Debbie (Kenny), and many cherished nieces and nephews.
A visitation and memorial service will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle, NY 10805. A gathering will follow at Hudson Park (his favorite spot), 1 Hudson Park Rd, New Rochelle, NY 10805.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andre’s memory to the Humane Society of Westchester at New Rochelle. He loved his cats Hali and Kai. Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.
