Alma J. Coleman brought joy and happiness to all she touched. She was the ultimate example of a person that sought to give more than she received. In all her relationships she left a little bit of her spirit and soul with the person. She will be missed by her family, countless friends and many business associates.

Alma J. Coleman was born to Ellena M. Jones and George W. Jones on February 3, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama. She transitioned from labor to reward on June 23, 2025. Alma departed this life surrounded by her husband, son and daughter by her bedside.

Alma leaves to mourn: A devoted husband of 57 years Jerome Coleman, Sr.; her children, Jerome C. (Sabrina) Coleman and Adrienne C. (Horace) Bridges; her grandchildren, Horace L. Bridges IV, Caitlyn Coleman, Coleman Bridges, Marcus Coleman, and Amanda Coleman; her mother, Ellena M. Jones; her sister, Gloria (Jerry) Bledsoe; and her brother, William (Carolyn) Jones and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, George W. Jones, and her brothers, Henry L. Jones, Ronald V. Jones, and George O. Jones.

A Memorial Service honoring the life and legacy of Alma Elnora Jones Coleman will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, located at 5002 South Central Expressway, Dallas, TX 75215. The service will be live streamed (webcast) on the New Hope Baptist Church Dallas YouTube channel.
