Alice K. Huey, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2025, at The Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert B. Huey, with whom she shared 56 beautiful years of marriage before his passing in November of 2010. Born in Wadesboro, NC, she was the loving daughter of the late John and Viola (Campbell) Kneece.
Alice was a 1954 graduate of Duke University and proudly held the title of Duke basketball’s number one fan. Her love for education led her to teach in various school districts, including East Penn and Parkland. She cherished her time in the classroom and had a true passion for teaching. She was a devoted member of Asbury United Methodist Church for many years.
She loved to travel and had a special gift for bringing people together, often hosting lively neighborhood parties and gatherings with friends and family. She also found great joy in playing bridge with her friends. Above all, she was a loving mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Robert B. Huey and wife, Jamie Penn Huey of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Audrey H., wife of Barry J. Frick of Allentown; grandchildren, Chloe Viola Frick, Abigail Dawn Frick, Adam Ray Huey Frick, Anna Taylor, Jessica Taylor, and Sean Taylor; niece, Alice Brown; and nephews, William Harding and John Harding. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Audrey Harding and her brother, Bernard Kneece.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 27, from 10:30-11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Alice’s memory to the church at the above address.
