Aleta G. Kyle, age 91, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at de Greeff Hospice House in South St. Louis County, Missouri. She was born March 16, 1934, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Dorothy (nee Abney) and Alfred Mitchell.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Elbert George Kyle; and siblings Oliver (Shirley survives of Park Hills, Missouri) Mitchell, Wanda Bills, Janet Chilton, and Jim Mitchell.
She is survived by sons Elbert (Vicki) Kyle of Fredericktown, Missouri and Chet (Vickie) Kyle of Festus; brother Charles (Debbie) Mitchell of Farmington, Missouri; sister Charolette (Terry) Maples of Wildwood, Florida; grandchildren Tara (Bob) Kapper, Christopher (Sharia) Kyle, Trisha (Eddie) Umbdenstock, Melissa Salzman, Rebecca (Jim) Singer and Amy (Ricky) Cash; great-grandchildren Ethan Kyle, Ally Kyle, Kaylyn Kyle, Mia Kyle, Zoey Salzman, Landon Salzman, Madi Schilling, Jake Reiser, Dalton (Erin) Umbdenstock, Davon Umbdenstock, Logan Cash, Collin Cash, Jada Roth, Alyvia Singer and Carl Singer; and a great-great-granddaughter Veronica Umbdenstock.
She was the owner/operator of Kyle Realty in Festus and a longtime member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, now Calvary Christian Center. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, fishing, serving in the church, playing piano and singing gospel music and traveling. Faith, family and serving others was her life’s mission.
Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until the time of funeral services at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, officiated by Pastor Kim Ferguson. Interment at a later date in Presbyterian/Methodist Cemetery in Festus. Memorials in Aleta’s memory are preferred to the de Greeff Hospice House.
