Afif Saad
Afif John Saad, 86, passed away peacefully on June 16th, 2025 at home in Cranford NJ. Born in Mansourieh, Lebanon, he was a longtime resident of Cranford NJ and a communicant of the Church of St Anne in Garwood.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit at 9:30 – 10:30am on June 20th at Dooley Funeral Home 218 North Ave West Cranford NJ 07016. A mass of Christian burial will be 11am Friday June 20th at Church of St Anne in Garwood. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield NJ.
John (Afif) immigrated from Lebanon in 1964, trained as an Electronic Engineer and founder of Telecom Global Services of Union NJ. He was proud of his employment with Montefiore Medical Center, Northern Telecom and General Dynamics. A nature lover, he enjoyed traveling, cooking and engaging with others during long walks.
John was predeceased by his sisters Siham and Najwa and brothers Fouad and Tony. Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years Barbara, daughter Francine (Greg), son John, son Daniel (Beth) and son Mark (Sheila) Grandchildren Jack, Julianna, James, Mark, Edward, Leila, Henry, his sister Rosette in Lebanon and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Society of the Little Flower, Darien IL.
