Abel Bribiesca passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 29, 2025 in his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born September 23, 1960 in Garden City, Kansas and is the son of Vincente Carmen Bribiesca, Sr. and Teresa (Mendoza) Bribiesca.

Abel was a lifelong Garden City resident, graduating from Garden City Senior High and attended Garden City Community College. He was recently employed at Nutrien Ag Solutions for 10 years and felt blessed to have coworkers whom he considered as “family”. Abel has always been a hard worker all his life and worked 30 years at Dillons East. He enjoyed listening to R&B and 70s music, watching the Chief games “win or lose”, watching westerns and cooking shows, spending time with his family and pets. He was very religious, praying daily and putting his faith in God’s plan, as he was faced with illness and death. His family and friends will remember his willingness to help others and attention to detail. Abel loved life and trying new things. After he met the love of his life Dina, he somehow knew she would be the one to stand by his side, as he made his way to heaven. They were married March 7, 2020. May Abel rest in eternal peace.

He is survived his Wife-Dina Bribiesca; Her Children-Amanda and Arturo; Their Grandchildren- Christian, Sebastian, Adan and Delilah; His Siblings- Louie Bribiesca, Albert Bribiesca, Reginald Bribiesca, Vincente Bribiesca, Jr., and Ernesto Bribiesca, Alvina Bribiesca, and Marta Flores; numerous Nieces and Nephews; Fur babies-KC, Simba, Floppi and Birds: Tweety and Sylvester. He was preceded in death by his Parents- Vicente and Teresa & Siblings-Carlos Bribiesca, Raymond Bribiesca, Steven Bribiesca and Jesse Bribiesca.

Visitation will be held 11:00 am – 8:00 pm Monday August 4, 2025 at Garnand Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 10:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am on Tuesday August 5, 2025 both at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Jacob Schneider as Celebrant. Burial will be held 1:30 pm Wednesday August 6, 2025 at Valley View Cemetery.
