Dayville – Lorraine (Gregoire) Belleville, 93, of Dayville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025, in Day Kimball Hospital. Born in Putnam, CT, she was the daughter of the late Arsene Gregoire and Albina Basley – Gregoire.
Lori dedicated many years to the John Dempsey Regional Center as an administrative assistant.as well as enjoying years of secondary employment at the local Hallmark store.
Lori found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep love for gardening; tending to the beautiful flowers she would grow in her yard. Her green thumb was matched only by her eye for detail, which she poured into her intricate cross stitch projects. She loved cooking and crossword puzzles. Days at the beach. She enjoyed a house full of people and lakeside gatherings.
Mrs. Belleville was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a life long devoted member of St. Mary’s parish. She frequently volunteered for charitable endeavors from soup kitchens to the Circle of Fun.
Lorraine is predeceased by her husband Marcel G Belleville and her grandson Samuel Marcel Tharp. She is survived by daughter, Michelle Tharp of Willington, CT; two sons, Marc Steven, David Marc; sister, Paulette Sigl. (Spouse Thomas) Grandchildren Eric Belleville (spouse Nicole) Melissa O’Donovan (spouse Steven), Grace and William Tharp, Great grandchildren Nathan and Lottie, Niece Julie Arnold (spouse Bret) Nephews Steven Randolph, Michael Randolph(spouse Molly), Denise Gembala (Spouse Jamie) Sean Belleville (Spouse Michelle) Neil Belleville (Spouse Kate) and many great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at St. Mary Church of the Visitation. 218 Providence Street, Putnam, CT. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 pm in Saint Mary Cemetery, Putnam, CT. For memorial guestbook visit www.GilmanAndValade.com.
