Carroll I. Koser

Carroll I. Koser, 79, of Mansfield, passed away at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital on Thursday, September 9, 2021.

The beloved daughter of Cloyd and Alice (Kenner) Rush, Carroll was born on October 25, 1941 in Ashland County, Ohio. Carroll will dearly be missed as she was one of a kind. An excellent baker, Carroll’s cookies were the best. She always baked for birthdays and Christmas making your very favorite cookies just for you, as she knew everyone’s favorite. She was very attentive to others and thought of others often, as she mailed cards to all her friends and family for every holiday. She knew every birthday, anniversary and special occasion for everyone. Her family were special to her and she looked forward to holidays and the valuable time shared together. She was a member of the Owls of Mansfield. Carroll enjoyed gardening especially tending to her flowers and tomato plants, and was always on the look out for a new doll to add to her porcelain doll collection.

Surviving are her step-son, Alan (Maria) Koser; her children, Rhonda (Steve Waldman) Peacock, Havery (Dawn) Buzzard Jr., and Ricky (Diana) Buzzard; her grandchildren, Ashley Peacock, Ricky Buzzard II, and Mac Buzzard; step-grandson, Christopher (Katrina) Sellards; three great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandsons; her sister, Anna Mae Swaisgood; her brother, Jim (Bertha) Rush; many nieces and nephews; her home health aid and friend, Roberta Stapleton; and her best friend, Junior Preston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Koser; and her step-son, Greg Koser.

The family will not be observing public services. Please consider making a memorial contribution in honor of Carroll to OhioHealth Hospice. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Koser family.
