Teresa Green

Teresa Green, age 67, of Fletcher, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021, following a brief illness at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.  Born in Greenup, Kentucky, on June 04, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Sayler Looney and “Dee” Cable Looney Blankenship.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Paul “Steve” Green, who passed away on March 14, 2020; and her grandmother, Bessie Ball.

Teresa was fascinated with bears and collected bear figurines.  She absolutely adored her three canine companions, Sasha, Laila and Molly.  Teresa, for many years, was employed at Ameri Life Insurance Company where she served as a receptionist. She attended New Beginning Baptist Church in Mills River.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her cousins, who loved her dearly; and a lifelong friend, Glenda Cliff.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date and will be announced once it has been finalized.
