Otto “Buzzy” Hoegger

Otto “Buzzy” Hoegger, Jr, 87, formerly of Hendersonville passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Novant Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte. He was a son of the late Otto, Sr. and Mary Amsen Hoegger. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Christa who passed away in 2014. He was a native of Brooklyn, NY and had also resided in Greenlawn, NY prior to moving to Hendersonville, NC in 1996.

Buzzy proudly served in the United States Army and reached the rank of Corporal during the Korean War. He was employed as a pipefitter with Larry E. Tyree Co. for 37 years prior to retirement. Buzzy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hendersonville.

He is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Randal) Ivey and Diane (Eric) Langan; grandchildren, Emma and John.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church. Inurnment will follow in the Grace Memorial Garden.
