Leah Kunkel, Talented Singer and Songwriter, Dies at 76

Leah Kunkel, a talented singer, songwriter, and the younger sister of legendary musician Cass Elliot, passed away on November 26, 2024, at the age of 76. Following in her sister’s footsteps, Kunkel embarked on a successful music career, performing as Cotton Candy and later under her own name. She collaborated with renowned artists like Jackson Browne, Carly Simon, and Art Garfunkel, and formed the pop-rock trio The Coyote Sisters. Beyond her musical accomplishments, Kunkel was a highly respected attorney, graduating from Smith College and practicing law for over 25 years. Her contributions to both the music industry and the legal field will be deeply missed.
