Linda Lee Prunty, 84, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Swisher, Iowa, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Meth-Wick Community. Visitation: 5 – 8 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2024, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial: Anderson Cemetery, Swisher, Iowa. Linda was born April 1, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Wilbur and Aylene (Neely) Wendt. She was united in marriage to Rex Prunty in 1958. Linda worked at TLS and finished her career at Keane Health Services. Linda’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She had a special way of making everyone she met feel important and cared for. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her children, Penny (Lance) Hall of Asbury, Iowa, Lisa (Todd) Wirtner, Marion, Iowa, Vern (Marty) Prunty of Cedar Rapids, Jeff (Karin) Prunty of Jackson, Tennessee, and Bob (Laurie) Prunty of Lake in the Hills, Illinois; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and sister, Sharon York.

She was preceded in death by her daughter in infancy, Elizabeth Prunty; parents; sister, Judy; and grandson, Taylor Prunty.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial fund that has been established in Linda’s memory.
