Judith A Brown passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Oldorf Hospice House, surrounded by family. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, 10:00 am, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Pastor Timothy Lopez officiating.
Survivors include sons, John W Brown (Cindy), and Kevin R Peters (Teresa); along with four grandchildren. Johnethan, Shannon, Lisa and Joshua. .
Judith was preceded in death by her son, David, grandson, Eric, ex-husband, Albert R Brown, and her parents.
Judith (LeClere) Brown was born July 29, 1941, in Cedar Rapids, to parents Ray and Beatrice LeClere. She raised three children with unconditional love, and was a faithful wife and mother. After the nest emptied, she returned to get her accounting degree from Hamilton Business College, achieving many milestones including student of the month, year and perfect attendance while attending college. She used the accounting degree with various Cedar Rapids companies. After retiring, Judy spent time volunteering at Kirkwood College in the Horticulture department, she loved her gardens and planting various greenery and flowers. She also volunteered with the local genealogy library at the local Masonic Lodge. Judy was a member of the local Moose Lodge, and the SOLO’s Club of Cedar Rapids. As she aged, she loved to spend time at home with her cats, especially her Kiki cat. Her hobbies included working puzzles, sewing and reading. Judy will be lovingly missed by friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family .
