Terry was born on August 26, 1945, to Joseph and Dorothy (Vichorek) Krejci in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Regis High School and the University of Iowa. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War from 1968-1970. He was united in marriage to La Donna Lea Andresen on May 16, 1975, at St. Matthew Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife La Donna, his daughters, Angela Krejci and Vanessa (Kelly) Kula, his grandchildren, Madelyn, Jace and Hudson Kula, his sisters, Mary Ellen Gast, Kay Naughton, Sandy Hutchcroft and his sister-in-law, Barb (Tom) Janss, along with many nieces, nephews and special cousins.

Terry had a 30 + year career as a letter carrier for the United States Post Office. An almost 10-year struggle with advanced stages of dementia and Alzheimer’s slowly robbed Terry of his creative abilities and memories. Terry loved traveling, music, painting, woodworking and gardening. Terry was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Fan and was a season ticket holder for many years.

Terry’s family wishes to thank and never forget the many care givers that have become family over the past several months including the supportive care teams at Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital, Corridor Crossing Place and the Gardens of Cedar Rapids with the addition of St. Croix Hospice Staff.

They provided comfort and compassionate care during Terry’s advanced dementia and Alzheimer’s.

His family was honored that he could be their cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle and cousin. Please extend a kind gesture in honor of Terry or donate to your favorite organization in his memory.
