Brenda Andrews- Klein

Center Point

Brenda Andrews-Klein, 67, of Center Point, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Windmill Manor in Coralville after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Teahen Funeral Home, by Pastor Andrew Happ. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, after 10 a.m. until the service.

Brenda is survived by her two children, Jason (Emily) Andrews of Center Point, and Zea CandiceMarie Andrews of Estes Park, CO; 4 grandchildren, Caleb and Carter Andrews, and Saren and Silas Ingold; three siblings, Craig (Sheri) James, Rick (Crys) James and Nancy (Dan) Jones; and her significant other, Brian Weekly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Zachary Andrews.

Brenda was born on March 23, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of William and Lillie James. She attended school in Center Point, graduating in 1975. Brenda married Mark Andrews in 1975; they divorced in 1998. In 2009, she married Kevin Klein, and later divorced. Brenda worked in medical billing and banking.

Brenda will be remembered for her love of craft shows, long walks, sun tanning in the pool, reading, and shopping during her healthier days. She was an immaculate housekeeper, always a person you wanted to be around: kind, fun-loving, and always looked beautiful, proudly wearing her nail polish and lipstick.

At a very young age, Brenda prepared meals and kept the house tidy to help her parents and siblings. She loved cheerleading in high school and later in life for her grandchildren’s hometown sports. Brenda loved little dogs and always had one to snuggle and make her smile. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. May she finally rest in peace, freed of her pain, and be reunited with the loved ones that passed before her.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Windmill Manor and Hospice Compassus for their wonderful care of Brenda.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
