Wayne Edwin Luth, 77, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away peacefully on July 2, 2024, at Ridgeview Assisted Living.
We welcome all of Wayne’s family and friends to join us for Military Honors being held at the Fairfax Community Center on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life until 4:00 pm.
Wayne was born December 4, 1946, to Donald and Loretta Luth in Beaver Township, Nebraska. After graduating from Cedar Rapids Washington High School, Wayne proudly served in the U.S. Navy. After his service he had a 20+ year career at Rockwell Goss where he worked as a machinist, foreman and assembly technician. He enjoyed spending time with his family in Missouri playing cards and having boisterous debates with a lot of laughs. Through the years he also enjoyed bowling, fishing and weekend camping adventures with family and friends. He loved watching his game shows and Westerns.
Wayne is survived by his first wife, Dianne, and their daughters Angie (Bob) Clark and Carrie (Matthew) Getty; his second wife, Pat, and daughter Jennifer Stahl; grandchildren, Cal and Griffen (Camryn) Clark, Annabelle and Savannah Getty, Isaiah Jefferson; his brothers, Gene (Jackie), Virgil (Lily), Maynard, and Carl (Nancy).
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Loretta (Gloe) Luth.
The family would like to thank Ridgeview Assisted Living and St. Croix Hospice for all their wonderful care and support.
