Marian McCue Handley, 96, died on June 24, 2024, in Bentonville, AR. There will be a family graveside service on Sunday, July 7 at 2 pm, Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion. A celebration of life will be held at Jessica’s from 3-6 pm, following the inurnment.
Marian was born in Central City, IA on July 7, 1927 to parents Arthur and Muriel (Pike) Snyder.
She graduated from Savanna, IL high school and attended Coe College.
In August 1947, she married Robert McCue in Savanna, IL. In 1957, she and “Dobbin” moved to Marion where she was a homemaker and loving mother to five children. Marian worked a few years at Collins Radio, followed by a position at Sears in customer service. They retired and moved to Rogers, AR in 1985.
Following Dobbin’s death in 1987, Marian married Jerry Handley of Rogers, AR.
She was preceded in death by both husbands and her brother, Glen and sister-in-law Julienne Snyder. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Hillary McCue and grandson Robert Schmit.
Marian is survived by children Jessica (Dennis-deceased) Trout, Cathy (Chip) Kensinger, Robert (Sue) McCue, Glen (Dianna) McCue, Marianne (Dale Ridenour) McCue. She is also survived by grandchildren Kurtis (Christina) Trout, Michelle (Mike) Fowler, Justin (Katie) Kensinger, Jesse (Brooke) Kensinger, Royce (Amanda) Kensinger, Kristoffer (Emily Dunn) McCue, Brian (Dawn) Schmit, Matthew (Karen) McCue, and Mike (Jen) McCue. She had 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also, two special nieces, Cindy Musser and Christine Lee, and nephew David Hook.
To know if Marian was in the room, just listen for her laugh and cheery voice. When you miss Marian and you are within earshot of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, listen, and you will hear her.
