Curtis D. Sheets, age 90, longtime resident of Iowa City, died Saturday, June 15, 2024, under the compassionate care of Iowa City Hospice and the Staff at the Bird House.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Britt, Iowa; with a time of visitation after 12:30 p.m. at the grave. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his memory to the Camp Eastman Development Association, Iowa City Hospice or the Bird House, Hospice Home of Johnson County.
