Jeff A Port, 68 of Castle Rock Colorado passed away Friday, April 5th, 2024. He was born in Waubeek, Iowa, on October 23, 1955 to Loren and Romoma Port.
Jeff graduated from Springville High School in 1973.
Jeff married Jean Nielsen on May 21, 1982. They moved to Elizabeth, Colorado in 1985. Two years later they were blessed with a daughter, Ashley Rose on May
31, 1987. They later divorced in 2003.
Jeff was a carpenter for 50 years. He started after high school working for his uncles doing roofing on the tall silos around Linn County Iowa. After moving to Colorado he started his career with C&G Woodworking making custom cabinetry and working on multi- million dollar homes in the Douglas County and surrounding area. After 20 plus years he moved on to build custom
Pole Barns and was the Superintendent of many jobs.
Jeff’s hobbies included watching Nascar races, big fan of Dale Earnhart #3, Cheese Head, GO PACKERS!! He enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing and hunting while living and growing up in Iowa. He enjoyed watching his granddaughter, Ava Rae play Softball these past few years. Jeff sure did enjoy a good scratch too…. Lottery tickets was one of his favorite past times.
Jeff is survived by his daughter Ashley, granddaughter Ava. His sisters Linda/Bill Ham, Marilyn
Carpenter, Jackie/Rex Bonebrake a brother Mark, brother-in-law Ed Baily and Jerry Hiner and
many many nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Darlyce Baily and Verlee Hiner and brother, Maurice.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
