Patricia Ann Novy

Patricia Ann Novy, nee Brennan, age 75, of Elmhurst and later Des Plaines. Beloved wife of Michael. Loving mother of Ted (Carolyn), Beth, Jack and the late Dan. Dedicated grandmother of Thomas, Tess, Leo, Mary Frances, Sally and Gus. Dear sister of Michael (Dorothy), Philip, the late Joan (Jesse), Jim, Joe and Mary (Mark). Aunt, cousin, niece and friend of many.

Pat devoted her life to caring for others. As a young woman, she studied nursing and found herself drawn to pediatric care, working later at both Children’s Memorial and Elmhurst Hospitals. She returned to school in mid-life in order to pursue her master’s degree in pastoral care, co-founded the Elizabeth Ministry at Immaculate Conception Parish, and became a chaplain at the end of her career. Pat always wanted to help others in both body and spirit. She will be remembered fondly for her love of family & friends, travel and laughter.

Funeral Mass: Friday May 21st, 10:30 a.m., St Mary of the Woods Church, 7033 N Moselle Ave, Chicago, IL 60646.
