Winston Turner

Winston Turner went home to be with the Lord after a short illness. His mother was at his side during his illness at Summa Hospital on January 14th. Winston was born on June 2nd, 1961, at Summa Hospital, to Haydee & Frank Turner Sr. He attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from Garfield High School. After graduating, he held managerial positions in several stores and retired from Macy’s two years ago.
Winston will be missed by so many people who loved him. He touched many people’s lives in various ways. He loved all children, and they loved him. He had a deep affection for the people in his neighborhood, and they reciprocated by helping him in many ways.
Winston was preceded in death by his grandparents, Beulah & Arthur Stafford, Lizzie and Elliott Turner, his father Frank Turner Sr., his brother Aunt Mary Lee Conwell Frank Turner. He learned to cherish his upbringing from his mother, Haydee Turner of Akron, his aunts Dorothy Arnold and Lavada Jones, cousins, and a host of relatives and friends in and out of state.
