Judy Crawford, 64, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away after a series of illnesses and health complications on January 13, 2024. A grandmother, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and inspiration, Judy was much more than the sum of her titles and impacted so many lives in a positive and unforgettable way.

Judy was born on December 29, 1959, to loving parents Owen and Lois Macke in Cedar Rapids, IA; where she resided most of her life. Along with attending Kennedy High School, Judy furthered her education at Kirkwood College where she developed a passion for helping others in need. Judy spent her career working with children at the Head Start Program for over 20 years. She was kind, patient, dedicated, and compassionate in her work with children and their families.

Likewise, Judy was a guiding light to her own family and loved being with them. Not only was Judy loyal and devoted to supporting her family, but she also found no greater joy than spending time with her children and grandchildren. Judy was a positive inspiration, kind, and warming presence to all lucky enough to know her.

When Judy was not with family, she enjoyed several hobbies including puzzles, entertaining her cat, watching her pet fish, and going to the movies.

Judy was predeceased by her grandparents Lawrence and Erlene Macke, Bill and Mina Murray, and father, Owen Macke. Judy is survived by her mother, Lois Macke and siblings: Jackie Macke Miller (Henry), Diane (Dave) Anderson, Doug (Suzette) Macke, her children: Kristin Robinson, Malinda Enos, Michael (Jayna) Crawford, Deven (Tiffany) Crawford, her grandchildren: Damien, Isaiah, Caleb, Javell, Qwanell, Artrell, Kamora, Tavian, and Micah.

Her sudden loss has brought great sadness to her family and friends, but she has imprinted a lasting memory to many. Her parting with this physical world is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply.
