Barney Lee Carnes

Barney Lee Carnes, 66, passed away on Tuesday; April 20, 2021 at his home in Tolar with his family by his side. He was born May 19, 1954 in Burnet, Texas to Clyde W. and Doris Woodall Carnes. Barney was of the Baptist faith, was a member of the Kopperl Masonic Lodge #0292 and he was the former owner of Barney’s Upholstery Shop in Glen Rose. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, was a loving husband and father and loved his grandkids dearly.
Barney was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife of (47) years, Debbie Carnes; two sons, Barney “Lee” Carnes, Jr. and wife Kristin and Andy Carnes and wife Amanda; eight grandchildren, Noah Phillips, Camryn Carnes, MaKenna Carnes, Gage Carnes, Jeg Shirley, Preslee Carnes, Brody Carnes and Landon Carnes; two sisters, Bonnie Mikulenka and husband Jim and Lory Matthews and husband Lance and a brother, Clyde DeWayne Carnes and wife Michelle; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be from 6pm. to 8pm. Thursday; April 22, 2021 at Wiley’s Funeral Home in Glen Rose.
Funeral service will be held 10am. Friday; April 23, 2021 in Wiley’s Funeral Home Chapel in Glen Rose.
