Joseph G. Muro
Joseph G. Muro, age 77 of Plano, IL passed away at Thrive of Fox Valley, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. He was born on March 30, 1946 in Tepetongo, Zacatecas, Mexico the son of Juan and Manuela (Gutierrez) Muro.
Joe was united in marriage on August 19, 1978 to Maria De La Torre and they spent the next 45 years happily together. Joe was employed as a painter at Remline for 23 years and later at Lyon Metal in Montgomery, IL. Joe was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Plano, IL where he dedicated much of his time and spent many hours volunteering. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Muro; his children, Deborah (Juan) Mendez of Plano, IL, Joseph A. Muro (Elena Rodriguez) of Millbrook, IL, and Samandah (Salvador) Perez of Plano, IL; his grandchildren, Alonzo Mendez, Adrian Mendez, Eric Perez, Alejandra Perez, Abigail Mendez, Isabel Perez, Aliana Mendez, Oliver Muro, and Eden Muro; six siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Manuela Muro, and two siblings.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1001 N. Center Ave., Plano, IL.
Interment will be private.
