Rachel Markay White, dearest daughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt and friend, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 in her home operated by Systems Unlimited in Coralville. Rachel was born on January 13, 1980, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and grew up in Marion, Iowa. Rachel attended Linn Mar Schools, graduating from high school in 2001. She lived in her Coralville group home since 2006.

She is survived by her parents, Phil and Laura White; her siblings, Alex (Elizabeth) White, Chris White, and Andrea (Marcus) Hora; nieces and nephews, Colton, Lillian, Lincoln, Elijah and Hannah; and her best friend, Katie Nimmer.

Rachel brought abounding love and laughter to the world, and taught us to laugh in spite of what life throws at us. She lived life to the fullest. She loved her family and friends.

We would like to thank the stream of caregivers that have looked after, loved, and generally made Rachel’s and all of our lives richer.

There will be a service for Rachel at 2:00pm with a time for remembrance and fellowship from 2:30-4:00pm, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion, Iowa.
