Rose M. Dennis

Rose M. Dennis, 91, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, April 17, 2021, in Aultman Hospital.

Born September 9, 1929, in New Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Attilio and Margaret (Springhetti) Vielmetti.

After completing her formal education, she married her late husband, Ermile D. “Denny” Dennis, on September 9, 1946.

Rose was a member of Crooked Run United Methodist Church, New Philadelphia. She loved to play cards, garden, and feed her birds. Additionally, Rose had a green thumb and raised beautiful flowers. She made floral arrangements that received numerous awards at the Tuscarawas County Fair.

She will be deeply missed by her three daughters, Sharon (James) Bloom, Susan (Todd) Immel and Holly (fiancé, John Williamson) Boden, all of New Philadelphia; her son, David (Martha) Dennis of Gnadenhutten; eight grandchildren, Denise (Christopher) Harmon, Jamie (Chris) Meese, Kristopher Hershberger, Jackie (Durrell) Beachy and David Hershberger, Sarah Shea, Laura Dennis and Adam (Joy) Dennis; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Denny, on February 19, 2002; siblings, Ann (Jake) Ripley, Norma (Bob) Corey, and Joseph (Margaret) Vielmetti; and one of God’s little angels, Charlie.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 23 at 10 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, with Rev. Shelly Nordine officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park.
