Jean White
Jean White, age 89 of Big Rock, IL passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 26, 1934 in Harvey, IL the daughter of Roy and Gertrude (Kroeger) Brown.
Jean was united in marriage on December 27, 1952 to Mr. Donald White and they spent the next 71 years happily together. Mrs. White was a former Cub Scout, Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. Jean was also a CCD Teacher at St. Gall’s Catholic Church in Elburn, IL. She enjoyed nothing more than baking with her children and grandchildren. In 1983, Jean and her husband, Don, began their own business, J & D Door Sales in Big Rock, IL. Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Jean is survived by husband, Don White of Big Rock, IL; her children, Donald R. (Kathi) White of Serena, IL, Debra (Scott) Hamling of Montgomery, IL, Cindy (Craig) Stevens of TX, Lori (Steve) Hintzsche of WI, Gary (Sarah) White of Hinckley, IL, Carol (Brent) Bish of Leland, IL, Michelle (Richard) Perales of FL, and Jeff (Jennifer) White of Sandwich, IL; her grandchildren, David (Selene) White, Brian (Kelly) White, Michael White, Joel White, Daniel White, Lauren (Paul) Middleton, Sarah (Dave) Roberts, Scott (Steven) Hamling, Kristy (Phil) Sinetos, Craig Stevens, Jr, Cassie (Ted) Wagner, Cory (Kristen) Stevens, Jared (Beth) Hintzsche, Aaron (Kory) Hintzsche, Brad (Cassie) Hintzsche, Chris (Jenifer) White, Grant (Kathryn) White, Matt (Jessica) Bish, Jessica (Steve) Tosaw, Jennifer (Craig) Watson, Marisa (Nate) Perales, Nick Perales, Alex White, Grace White and Cody White; her 34 great-grandchildren; her sister, Judy (Jim) Kreitz of Sugar Grove, IL; her brother-in-law, Jim Michels of Sugar Grove, IL; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Gertrude Brown; her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Keith Michael; her grandson, Luke Bish; her sisters, Carole Michels and her twin sister, Joan (Jim) McCue.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 1, 2023 at St. Katharine Drexel, 8S055 Dugan Rd, Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Interment will be private.
Friends may visit from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 North Maple Street, Hinckley, IL.
